Twisted X
A Bootmaker That Never Forgot the VFW.
Founded in 2005 in Decatur, Texas, Twisted X handcrafts footwear inspired by the American West. The company gives at least 10% of its profits to causes it believes in, and since 2015 it has directed nearly $720,000 of that giving to VFW programs.
Title Sponsor of the VFW's Youth Programs.
In 2020, Twisted X became the title sponsor of the VFW’s Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen youth essay competitions. These programs challenge students to think about citizenship, service, and their role in the country’s future.
It Started With a Flag and a Welcome.
When Prasad Reddy became a U.S. citizen in 1980, VFW Auxiliary members were the first to welcome him, handing him a small American flag and a copy of the Constitution. Decades later, as president and CEO of Twisted X, he turned that moment into a lasting commitment to the VFW.
“What this organization does for veterans is unmatched, and we are honored to be a part of it.”
