GRANTS: Empowering VFW Posts
Funding Opportunities to Support Your MissionFor more than a century, VFW Posts have stood as pillars of support in their communities. From building local playgrounds and organizing food drives to hosting military support events and aiding in disaster relief efforts, VFW Posts have a proud and effective history of service.
Supporting Your VFW Post’s Mission
In appreciation of your dedication, the VFW Foundation is here to assist your Post. We can help you secure financial donations from local companies, foundations, and individuals.
Also, the VFW Foundation offers a variety of internal grants specifically designed for your Post and its Auxiliary.
VFW FOUNDATION GRANTS
The VFW Foundation offers three grant opportunities annually. Applications are generally accepted from September through June 1 of the following year, or until grant funding is exhausted. Please reference each grant below for current information on application availability.
Grant eligibility is exclusive to VFW entities such as Posts, Districts, and Auxiliaries. Nonprofits outside of the VFW cannot apply. All grants are reimbursement-based, meaning applicants must complete their projects and then apply with proof of expenses.
We highly encourage applicants to contact the VFW Foundation before starting a project to ensure it qualifies.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact VFW Foundation Grants Manager, Christopher Johnson at CJohnson@vfw.org.
