The VFW Foundation launched the Day of Service in 2022, celebrating the continued dedication of veterans in their communities. This event showcases veteran-led community service projects throughout the month, highlighting the impactful contributions veterans make even after their military service.
Why Participate? Participating in the Day of Service honors the spirit of service that defines our veterans. By organizing or joining a community service event, you can help highlight the invaluable contributions veterans make to society and strengthen community bonds.

A Cornerstone Annual Event for Over 125 Years
The VFW National Convention is a cornerstone event where delegates gather to set national priorities, elect new leadership, and recognize outstanding contributions to veteran support.
Why Attend? This convention provides a platform for meaningful discussions, training, and networking, ensuring that the needs and rights of veterans are effectively represented and advanced.
UNITING TO COMBAT HUNGER:
Fight Food Insecurity and Build Healthier Communities
The VFW, in partnership with Humana, addresses food insecurity among veterans and military families through the Uniting to Combat Hunger (UTCH) campaign. Since 2018, UTCH has provided over 4.5 million meals to those in need. Join us in our mission to ensure no veteran or military family faces the hardship of hunger.
How You Can Help: Participate in the campaign by organizing food drives, donating to local food banks, or creating community gardens. Apply for the UTCH Grant to amplify your impact with matching funds for donations.
