WHO WE ARE

Honoring the Heart of Heroism

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Foundation is the official 501(c)(3) charity of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, founded in 1996 on the legendary heritage of the VFW spanning three centuries. Our collaborative efforts with corporations, private foundations and individual supporters across the nation ensure that veterans and their family receive the support and assistance they deserve.

A Vision of Service

Embarking on a mission to create lasting positive change in the lives of America’s bravest—our military veterans, service members and their families. By raising funds to help meet veterans’ distinctive needs with honor and integrity when they are not able to help themselves, the VFW Foundation realizes our vision of making our appreciation known to our nation’s greatest heroes.

Mission: Unwavering Support

In the spirit of service, our mission is resolute: to serve our nation’s heroes and their families by securing resources for programs that facilitate enhanced life outcomes—now and for generations to come. We stand committed to transforming lives through dedication, ensuring no one is left behind.
